Hello, neighbors. Steve here with etrailer.com. We're looking today at our towing kit with a ball mount and the trailer wiring harness for your Stealth Hitches with the hidden rack receiver for a two-inch ball. Now folks, this is a custom fit. It fits '23 to '24 Hyundai Palisades. That being said, keep in mind, always check our fit guide here at etrailer.com.
On the homepage, in the center of the page, there's a spot that says something to the effect of vehicle information. Enter things such as year, make and model, bed length, cab style, those kinda things. Whatever pertains to your vehicle. Make sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Also, remember, sometimes videos can be outdated, so maybe you have a newer year and it fits that newer year, so always check that fit guide.
Now getting into it, this complete kit's gonna let you use your Stealth Hitch rack receiver that you should already have. If not, we sell 'em here separately as well for your towing. And it does have a detachable ball mount that locks up into the place of the receiver hitch. So, you would pull the receiver hitch connection out of your stealth hitch. This guy would go up and lock into place and give you a two-inch ball for towing a trailer.
Something of that nature. Has a nice black powder coat finish and it's been nice and sturdy rated. It's not gonna rust, corrode, that kinda stuff. You do get a 7-way style connector that's included. It's a blade style.
You get an adapter that goes in there from 7-way down to 4-pole round or 4-flat, some people call it. You'll line up the cutouts with that, that goes in. And if you can see here, there's a groove on the top of the lid that basically goes in, locks over the top, so now you can't pull that connection out when you have it. So, I just wanna note that. It's got a nice finger hold to pull it out when you're not using it. You got the brain of the output here. This is part of the wiring. It's gonna connect everything, all your custom plugs that are gonna match up perfectly to that Palisade. The safety chain loops here are included as well. They'll get bolted in place with the included hardware. You have a bracket here that's gonna be for that 7-way connector to mount up and stay into place. All the zip ties, all the other brackets to mount the wiring. The wiring will hang onto and clip onto some of that stuff to keep a nice clean OEM factory installation at the back. Now, this will plug into your vehicle's wiring and communicate with the computer. It ensures that all cameras, backup alarms and everything still work normally. The gross trailer weight is rated up to 6,000 pounds and it has a tongue weight of 600 pounds. Now, the total length of this guy is 15 inches. The base thickness here is 3/4ths of an inch thick. The ball hole diameter is one inch diameter. And this whole kit has a limited lifetime warranty with the manufacturer. Now as far as some dimensions, folks, the rise if you're using that stealth hitch, is gonna be 18 inches from the ground to the top of this ball. Now, from the center of the ball hole to the center of the peg here, you have a measurement of 12 inches across. So, from here over to the center, 12 inches. So that should give you plenty of clearance. They design these specifically to work with that stealth hitch for those years of the Palisades to make sure they're gonna fit. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look at this wiring and tow kit with the ball mount and everything included. I'm Steven. Thanks so much for watching. Stay safe out there while you're towing and have a great day.

Use your Stealth Hitches rack receiver to tow a small trailer with this all-inclusive towing kit. Remove the receiver attachment from your hitch and insert the included ball mount. Custom-fit 7-way harness, hitch ball and safety chain loops included.Purchased this a year ago and am just as happy with it now as I was a year ago. Excellent quality product. The installation was challenging but clear and straight forward. etrailer did a great job with the how-to videos. I easily recommend this product to anyone.
I just finished installing the stealth hitch and the towing package (SH53GR) on my Telluride. For those who have been using the Stealth Hitch website, SH53GR is the same as Stealth Hitch part number SHT25067A, which is the right one if you aren't pre-wired for towing. Put another way, SH53GR is the right one if you didn't buy a tow package with your Telly.
The instructions (and video!) were absolutely spot on. I consider myself handy, but I don't really work on cars. I had zero trouble at any point of the installation with knowing what to do. This is really a compliment to eTrailer (who made the video) and Stealth Hitches, who I believe authored the instructions.
I did run into a few small problems while installing. First, two holes on the frame didn't quite line up by a tiny amount. Is this the hitch or my car? It's hard to know. This made it difficult to fit some bolts through. I ended up having to use a small 3 lb sledge to get them to go in. Additionally, I had some trouble getting the latch block to go into its bracket. Some heavy coercion with a rubber mallet finally got it in place. These problems weren't present in the video though, so your experience will probably be better.
My overall installation time wasn't 40 minutes, as the review suggested. It actually took me about 7 hours - about 5 for the rack receiver and 2 for the towing package. One thing made things go faster -- I bought some socket adapters for my impact driver. That probably saved me at least an hour. I probably lost an hour because I was missing a couple of sockets that I was sure I had and was trying to use a crescent wrench before I asked a neighbor.
As a side note, I'm 100% happy with the Stealth Hitch. My Telly looks unmodified and the Trailer Hitch is rock solid.
Not all the parts were in the box. It apparently requires additional kit that I was never made aware of before I bought it. Very unhappy.
